Those Dreams Of Mine

by Mark   Oct 30, 2017

Those dreams of mine;
Shape shift and twine,
To when we embraced
Then sorrow laden laced.
A bright seraph - we kissed
Departed lyst - now missed
From sunbursts that shine!
To a sepulchre of mine.

Those dreams of mine
Are grand illusions of thine;
When whispers of a dove
Chirped sprightly of our love,
Tokened by red roses
Lippy shaped - heart poses,
By the sea - built a shrine!
Worshipped; that love of mine.

Those dreams of mine
Drowned me in a wine
Of grapey rivers flowing rye
Underwater, I treaded by,
Till your smile simpered
My voice hath whimpered;
Love longer than the Rhine!
Still parted this love of mine.

Those dreams of mine
Reel a memory I pine
When thou breath expired
From veins sharply mired
For despair took thee
The one and only soul for me.
Left salty as the watery brine!
Is now this heart of mine.
