Laid to Rest

by Meena Krish   Oct 30, 2017

Its
time to
put you to
rest, no more can
I burden your blood to
spill on my behalf every night;

You
have been
a faithful friend
veiled my dreams with your best
not once revealing my wretched plight;

Your
lips worn
and depressed and your
fair-haired lady can’t bear
on her chest the many rusted moon lights;

So
let me
bury you both
etch upon my table -
pen and paper laid to rest without a fight!

    Emotions so deep and the letting go part well described. All the very best.
