Me, Myself and I

by Kitty Cat Lady   Oct 30, 2017

Kitty is a thoughtful lady
She doesn't like to cast aspersions
But she does often wonder why
Some folk refer to themselves in the third person?

Is it that they don't like to say 'me'?
Do they have an issue with 'I'?
Or maybe their opinions of themselves
Are disproportionately high?

Kitty really doesn't know
But the matter she'd like to address
When she hears it, it makes her giggle
But now she must not digress!

Kitty just can't imagine
Why one might need call themselves by name
As though they were not even present
Like a weird, body-double game

Kitty would like to ask you
If this amuses you as well?
And if you know the answer
She begs of you please, pray tell!
