Nams' Song

by Mark   Oct 31, 2017

The aching is the from residue
Of inebriation creeping through
The colors - liquored it drew.
And Nams, will words comfort you
Like bubbles, sparkling in the brew
Gulping in barrels of whiskey dew
Hiccuping lysts long overdue.

Is it worth the slurry high
To feel that alive - one may fly
Only then to fall - crying why.
And Nams, another lullaby;
To wash the devil's spirits by,
Cleansing thoughts as you wry
Hush, the wells are seeping dry.

Is the euphoria all that wise
When once again the memories rise
Another shot - to kill the lies.
And Nams, life awaits your eyes
This hangover - duly dies
You, will shine amongst the skies!
Glisten, amist your tipsy guise.

Ah, a wonderful poem, and now I realize who Nams is! When you messaged me I thought it was your grandmother! I just call Naomi "N"!

    Oh, silly me!

Great write, superb word usage, and wonderful rhyme scheme choice.
