The Last Tear

by Kitty Cat Lady   Oct 31, 2017

There you go my sweetheart
Here is my last tear
Shall I bottle it to amuse you
For when you're old and dear?

Extracted from the heartbreak
That you alone inflicted
Although I saw the warnings
This I couldn't have predicted

There'll be no more crying now
Over you, from this heart
You have wrung me completely dry
And this is where we part

I hope that in the future
When you look back and reminisce
You will admit it to yourself
That you twisted the bliss

You had every bit of love
I gave all that I possessed
But in the end, as it turned out
It was you who loved me less

I hope that the memories of us
Will warm you through your days
Now enjoy this, my very last tear
I'm so done with this phase!

Amen Kitty! He doesn't deserve your attention or love and certainly not anymore of your tears. I have been there myself and I haven't looked back. Well done on this.

Very nice work Kitty, I like your style, especially the unforced rhyming, it flows through the events of two lovers and sadly as written, one loved less. The message can be related to by many and the one's who lost the love suffer the most.
