Wow this is the second or third poem about the romance of pen and paper this week. Such popular subject, but yours has special uniqueness and fresh angle. I like the vision that any romance is as personal as it is universal. Seeing the dialectic of that separation and unity, their dependency and their denial, in this, is refreshing to me.
I know there are more to this than what I mentioned
Always good to read from you Scott

A question: Haha What about the romance of fingers and keyboards?

This is an unique and wonderfully written take on pen to paper. Poetically describing the reverse of the phrase. Great write!

Yep the paper to pen is the reverse of the phrase pen to paper. Love it!

Scott, other than the very clever 'paper to pen' phrase ... this is a great poem about losing love (which obviously isn't great ... but I digress!)

In the 5th stanza: "Why my once vacate heart now beats like a drum." Did you mean 'vacant'?

I can really feel the pain of losing a love here ... a beautifully written poem :-) x
