Loco-emotion

by Kitty Cat Lady   Nov 2, 2017

Quiet contemplation
My reflection in glass like a ghost
Looking through myself to the scenery
A watered down me at most

Towns rush past my vision
Making way to rural land
Sighs escape unbeckoned
My mind begins to unwind

Every mile further travelled
Soothes my weary soul
Rocked by the journey's percussion
I begin to relinquish control

I let my mind wander freely
No deliberate thought matters here
The further the journey takes me
The more I can disappear

I'm taking some time for myself
My troubles I'm leaving back there
Don't follow me here, just leave me be
Just for a few days without a care.

Really captures how it feels to have a relaxing little escape. The tone of the poem is so consistently conveyed.

    Kitty this is awesome.

I think we all could do with escaping sometimes. Even if it's just for a little while.

Sometimes I find that life can get on top of me and in this case I just feel I need to get away from people. Some would argue that my life is pretty solitary due to work. However I still have to deal with people.

Anyway fantastic work and favorites deffo x

what a lovely piece Kitty. We all need some alone time on the road with no cares in the world. Excellently expressed here.

We all need some "me time" to gather our thoughts and rejuvenate. I could picture myself by the ocean. Enjoyed reading. All the best
