No Sign of light

by naaz   Nov 5, 2017

My love, you can't just do anything,
and pretend it is right.
Leave me to rot in the darkness
once again, with no sign of light.

For me, our love was always equal,
but you never handled it well.
You simply put all my sentiments
in a box and labeled it 'sell'.

I didn't forget, in your moonlit presence,
my heart used to feel better.
You are gone, but my blood contains
every word of your love letters.

You say I can't make you happy,
and in me you have lost the trust.
I know only one truth, in true love,
there are no ifs, and's or buts.

Naazz, this is strong and well stated. You have had enough and every line says that. Nicely rhymed also. Well done-
