There is no future if no one is alive to see it.

Heartfelt write, and thankful that others are using their voice here to chime in on the gun violence prevalent in our society. I wish we could change it.

I will not raise my children in America. It is simply not fair to them, that they should live in fear.

This poem highlights that notion perfectly.

    Thank you,

    Miss Dagmar,

Short, but so much within this, kids are our future, not guns. But society comes in dark forms sadly
    Much love

It's so honest and true it hurts. And I hate that I can say "it hurts" yet nothing will be done. Yet people won't want to talk about the real issues. That feeling of helplessness, hopelessness and desensitization keeps cycling in our society.

We can't keep waiting and watching and expecting these shootings to happen. We can't keep expecting and normalizing violence because then future generations will just accept it as a way of life.

    Peace and love <3

What you have written strikes hard because it is what is happening now. It is really sad, esp. the church setting...it used to be very safe.
