Yes Mel, we live in a world where we encounter so many different people, we remember the good and the bad, they both leave special memories imprinted in our minds and hearts. The lady in my poem, when she hit bottom she became just the person the Lord would seek to become one of his worshipers, He was close to the lowly, never really close to proud rich, just a Carpenter with some fisherman. Thanks Ben, as you know I write about some actual experiences I had in my life. I remember a guy that I worked with, he was made an Asst. Mgr., he actually walked around so filled with pride that he held his nose in the air! It wasn't long that he was demoted, I heard that he was trying to make points by speaking against one of the higher-ups who got wind of it. The tongue is a little member of the body but as said, it can sink ships! |
