Gathering of Angels

by Maple Tree   Nov 14, 2017

I go to a place where
dreams criss cross
within buckets of poetry.

Soothing pen names
gather alongside tear drops,
and this is where the angels nest.

They speak in whispers,
precious notations,
they collect my pain in punctuation.

These angels sing daily
upon dark nightmares
and lonely sunsets;

they dry my sorrowful tears.

They comfort my baby
when she thinks she's alone,
just by the beautiful words they write.

These angels, they guide me
and will be with me always -

and they thought they were just poets....

What a heartfelt write to the angelic members of our PnQ family. How could I not vote this; it deserved it. There's beauty, there's sadness, there's gratitude, and to top it all, there's love (from everybody and for everybody).
