Why Be Perfect?

by chrissy carter   Nov 20, 2017

YOU'RE NOT PERFECT, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE. THERE ARE TOO MANY STIGMAS THAT DON'T NEED TO BE NOTICED.
IF PEOPLE DON'T LIKE YOU, DON'T GET UPSET. THERE'S JUST MORE OF YOU FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO GET TO KNOW.
TREAT PEOPLE WITH THEIR OWN MEDICINE. BECAUSE TO THEM, IT SEEMED TO WORK ON YOU.
IF YOU CAN'T RUN OR WALK, THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING, IT JUST MEANS THAT YOU ARE UNIQUE.
POPULARITY AND MONEY REALLY DOESN'T GET YOU ANYWHERE, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.
WHO HAS THE COOLEST PHONE OR VEHICLE? WHO CARES? YOU'RE ABLE TO GET WHAT YOU NEED AND WHERE YOU NEED TO BE WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, RIGHT?
BEING FAMOUS ISN'T REALLY WHAT IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE. I MEAN, I'VE BEEN ON TV, IN THE NEWSPAPER AND ON STAGE AND I'M NOT MAKING A BIG DEAL OF IT.

So much wisdom in this poem and so much I agree with.
