Bitter Taste in my Mouth

by Alex Penuelas   Nov 20, 2017

You know what's the best thing
Since drinking orange juice
After brushing your teeth?

Knowing that your time
Is not worth a single cent
To someone that you thought
Cared about you.

Finding out that the only real reason
Why they talked to you in the first place
Was not out of generosity
Or out of genuine care for you as a person,
But because it was out of pity.

Because they saw something in you
That they could use for future uses,
And when you became obsolete to them
That they discard you like used toilet paper.

That's the best damn thing out there.

Really.

A bitter taste indeed, but don't allow that to make you bitter also! :-) x

A bitter taste indeed, Alex. It hurts that close friends would do that. But we have reasons to smile, as there are some who genuinely care and would wipe that bitter taste off. :-)
