Do You Know

Do you know? I'll never cease to love you,
Regardless of what you do.
In time you'll find another,
That will make your heart beat and swoon.

I'll not say I will not be jealous,
For he will have and hold a thing I love.
Twas me who brought us too this point,
And myself I won't forgive.

When that time comes eventually,
And I know it surely will !
I'll swallow hard and absorb it,
Though it will be a bitter pill.

I have no right to envy,
I will hope you both are blessed.
Won't think this is not fair or just,
But pray for your happiness.

    A brave write. I know this is an older piece, but I can relate to it. Loving a person so much that letting them go makes logical sence. Thats all well and good, but love is not logical. It's born of emotional fire that continues to burn. Jealousy burns too, but the flames burn green.

    This one is a couple of months old, I stumbled across it last night in drafts, things have changed somewhat since its writing. The future is much brighter.

    I'm happy this floated out although this is heart breaking esp the first line. I am sure you are coping well now and if you can be happy for her that means you do love her truly.
