The nature of a leaf

The nature of a leaf
Is as ancient as a belief
Tides of time never cease
Like wind through the trees
Humankind is what’s been brief

Stars so far away
Yet the sun gives us life everyday
We give thanks in some way
For without it what could we say
A leaf is like a beam of a lights ray
