I didn't know

I must be pretty clueless
blind to everything around me
to much emptiness
for me to see
I didn't know she'd let go
I didn't know that no one cared
I didn't know about true love
or staying true to you
but I do know you've changed
and so have I
*heartbreaks taught me there's always someone else out there
and now I know about true love
some say I'm too young to know the meaning
but I don't care what they think
because I know what I feel
for him is real
*losing friendships taught me
that it doesn't really matter
how much you've been through
with another person
or what you've done for each other
because one thing can take that all away
but it can't erase a memory
*There's so many lessons
for people to learn
its so unfair
how many times I've been burned
ya I've had broken hearts before
and lost many friends
but these two I thought
I'd have till the very end
guess they didn't share that feeling
so I'm left here dealing
just trying to let them go
true feelings are so hard to show
tomorrow I'm leaving
for just a few days
hopefully it will clear my head
and let me think
about everything thats been said
