A familiar melody

by Dagmar Wilson   Dec 2, 2017

Thinking of the past
lately it won't stop
I saw this girl wander around
she reminded me of me.
Only I could not recognize her face.

Long hair to her ankles
ribbons holding the weight,
feathery looking white blouse
bouncy long skirt.
Bangles up to her elbows
playing a familiar melody.

What really caught my attention
she wore no shoes.
