I Miss You

by Michelle   Dec 3, 2017

I miss you as the sun rises and as it sets again.
I wonder if this heartache will ever begin to mend.
I think of you so often and the pain comes rushing in.
I wish we could talk about it, that I could hear your voice again.

Memories alone are of little comfort,
they’re simply not enough.
Nothing can fix what’s broken,
when we loose someone we love.

Some subtle rhyming lends a melancholic melody to what is a sad but well written piece indeed.

A warm welcome to the site,

There is a lot of imagery in this piece that made the scene clear and allowed some symbolism to seep in, but I can't really say that there was much about this that screamed as something memorable. However, I appreciate the limitation of cliche aspects and the release that I'm sure followed the penning of this.
