You took a girl who was struggling to find her own self worth;
Someone who looked down every time she smiled because
she was insecure about the way she looked every time she
showed joy,
And did little things to help
her build herself back up instead of doing it for her.
You took a girl who never spoke up about how she felt in fear of
Being put down and let her know that she had a voice;
Showed her that what she wanted in life was just as important
as what everyone else wanted if not more.
You took a girl who was lost;
Who had no idea what she was doing after having spent so long being
forced to follow in the footsteps of someone else,
And gave her direction.
You praised her when she succeeded
and supported her when she failed;
You took a girl-
And you taught her her own self worth
