You pay attention when I’m talking,
All focus on me because there
is never anybody else in the room when we are together;
Even If there is.
You kiss the parts of me that
He neglected and soothe the scars
In the places that His lips scorched,
Healing them in your own gentle way;
Indefinitely.
I almost always wear my heart on my sleeve but this time;
I’m not doing that.
Instead-
I’m giving it to you because I know you’ll handle it with care.
