A piece of art
darling thou art;
a monument of beauty and of light
filling this life with joy;
a portrait of sweetness and of delight
painted with a mystic brush
so colourful and so bright
tinting thy face with a shiny blush;
a charming lovely sight.
Thou art so sculptured with the sweetness of the soul,
and covered with sparkles all in all;
an artefact that history shall forever record;
the singer who plays on the spirit’s chord.
You told me a gallery might be your place,
but look my response was in that case
that no museum, nor a showroom could display
Thy beauty and thy grace
Thus, darling, I must say:
‘A piece of art
As graceful as thou art
should always have its place within the heart’
