Soaring With An Eagle

If I had huge majestic wings,
I would fly across the sea.
I would land right there in front of you,
Dip my head and bend my knee.

If I was a bird with those mighty wings,
My talons would be so strong.
They would lift you up so gently,
And take you where you belong.

My beak strong and powerful,
It could strip man's flesh from bone.
It would not be used for such a thing,
But to protect what you call home.

But I am not that bird!
I have not wings, just these two arms,
Not particularly impressive,
But they still keep you from harm!

I have not razor like talons,
To tear and rip apart.
I have but little hands to hold,
That can gently touch your heart.

And yes! I do not have a beak,
I was blessed with just these lips.
