Broken strings

by Michael   Dec 13, 2017

I had to-
let go of the
emotional pendulum.
that swayed-
back and forth;
forth and back.

swinging

like a double-edged blade
that grinded across my
heart strings.

Eventually, the harmony
Severed between us,
and our love, that we once
stood, and sang together..

..now;
sits with Cupids
rusty bow.

    Michael, such a poignant write. A lost love, learning to let go and the pain with all of it. So well done- hugs-

    Love all the metaphors Michael. A sad tale of love's end, beautifully set out and worded :-) x
