Assisted Living:

by Scott Cole   Dec 15, 2017

The year has come
And nearly gone,
But I persevered
Remained strong.

Kept my chin up
Held my head high,
But I had help
I can't deny.

My Lord and Saviour
Has lead the way,
Has got me through
From day to day.

He eased my burdens
Erased my doubt,
He gave me drive
To grow and sprout.

So as this year
Comes to an end,
All my blessings
Are a Godsend.

For all I've become
During my lifetime,
Is now who I am
After my climb.

I've walked my walk
I've lived my Life,
But it didn't come
Without sacrifice.

So as this year
Winds slowly down,
Time ticks away
As it spins around.

Let me give Praise
To The Lord above,
Who enhanced my Life
Through Blood and Love.

For without his Grace
And his Compassion,
My moving forward
Would have no traction.

Scott as ever I fabulously rhymed piece on your faith and how it has helped you..
I do feel the last two stanzas could be switched about though ie last as the penultimate one and the penultimate one as the last I only say this as it feels as though the piece ended abruptly but that's just my opinion it's still fantastic and your rhyming is very smooth
    All the best
