Think of Shakespeare’s comedies or Mozart’s operas (Figaro, Magic Flute) where much Ado was made over the confusion of roles, identities and misunderstandings. The resolution always made the audience go “ahhh” but the plays/operas would have been worthless without the problems. |

I agree. Though those imitations are exaggeration, or in the cases of opera, over glamorized. In regular life is unusual to replace: a perplexed situation with resolution, only for the sake of humor or irony. Only artists could do that because they replace the facts with art, living it with imitating, it. |
