Yes, it can be a confusing time of year, can't it? We spend so much time planning and spending and getting caught up in the commercialism of it all, that when we finally stop and take a breath, we often find a sort of hollow emptiness to it all...a feeling of not feeling quite the way we should, I suppose. |

Kitty, I'll second Ben on this because he hit the nail in the head for me. Ahhhh, such a tiring season and yet...whew where did my Christmas spirit fly? haha |
Ah thanks for your lovely comments Ben. I often wonder if I'd feel different if I had some time off to look forward to over Christmas, but perhaps not! ;-) x |
Thanks Mel and thanks so much for nominating it! Lovely lady! :-) x |
Nice rhyming piece that captures christmas for a great many people. Too much food and stress especially for Mums can kill the Christmas spirit. Really enjoyable read. Milly x |
Aw. I'm so glad you liked it Milly, thanks so much :-) x |
Christmas is my favorite time especially in Germany it was the best time with my kids. Hectic but so very rewarding. I love it and thank you for sharing. All the best |
Thanks so much Dagmar. I imagine Christmas in Germany would feel much different :-) x |

Miss Kitty, |
Thanks Michael :-) it certainly does have a different feel to it this year for me! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :-) x |
Really good piece. I can definitely relate to wanting to enjoy something but being too spent to do so... |
Thanks so much for your comments Roam :-) x |
