Dark Corners

by Brise   Dec 20, 2017

This dark hidden corner torments me so
How could this intense fervor cause me woe?
We are restrained by remorseful misgivings
For you are all my forbidden longings

And this affliction is becoming a fixation
Of fantasies that temp this starvation
This hunger that so desires to be sated
An appetite that cannot be consummated

So I build not air castles but dark corners
Where love and lust become my borders
My mind flirting with the possibilities
Meanwhile my heart flinching at the liabilities

The possibility of a dream is without borders, turning a dream into a reality is difficult. Very good read
