The Conditions Under Which I Must Be Euthanised

by Alice   Dec 20, 2017

If my breath extends for far too long
I ask you to strangle my mortal song.
For when I am but flesh and time
makes me the same,
without breath’s bind.
Death shall take me gladly then,
and drop me in his shadowed glen
He is bird and I shall be worm
severed- halted in pitted squirm.
