With another chapter of
The time that I have been
Circling around the sun,
I would like to take a moment
To reflect.

Here's to all of the bullets I have dodged,
To all of the "friends" that showed their true colors,
To all of the promises that were unfulfilled.

Here's to all of the places I have travelled,
From Solvang to Catalina,
And everywhere in between.

Here's to all of the new friends I have made,
And to the memories that
We have created.

Here's to all of my late family members,
Who I miss with every fiber of my being.

Here's to all of the notes
I have played on my guitar,
And to all of the new songs
That i will learn
As the years go by.

Here's to everyone
That i love and will continue to love.

And here's to all of the poems
That i will continue to right,
As I try to make sense of
The things around me.

With every new year
Comes new hopes,
But I would like to say
That each new year is
Just another chapter of your life,
Waiting to be written.

So get your pen and keep on writing!
