Little Red Riding Hood (twisted nursery rhyme)

If you go out in the woods tonight,
You might get a surprise.
For Little Red is out this eve,
And she's carrying her knives.

This is no bears picnic!
Though they may become something.
A matted mess of blood and fur,
Just a ritual offering.

You will not see that cunning wolf ,
For he is sly, he's scared and wise.
He knows if he comes upon that hood,
It's unlikely he'll survive.

If an innocent comes across Miss Red?
They will tremble at her rage.
Then be be violently slaughtered,
To ensure she does not age.

Many wear a cloak,
But they won't have that blood red hood.
It was gifted to her eons ago,

When In that pentagram she stood.

    This is similar to my Rewritten piece and I have a few others about nursery rhymes being messed up or what they actually were written about. Funny enough, the original one was for a school project, anyway, I really enjoyed your take and how you were able to keep the same theme, but totally give it another message. Great job on this, so glad it got nominated!

    I liked this as well because it is the opposite of the original story where red was eaten by the wolf. Loved the twist.
