Words:

by Scott Cole   Jan 10, 2018

Words are precious as air
We breath them out,
So don't waste a breathe
When you spread them about.

They're the sounds we speak
The things we say,
And they cut like a knife
If spoken the wrong way.

In a World full of words
With an endless vocabulary,
There's infinate opportunities
For their meanings to vary.

So proofread your thoughts
Before you spit them out,
Because once they're delivered
They forever linger about.

And not all organized letters
Are pleasant to hear,
For some cause division
And bring forth some tears.

They strike a cord
Or penetrate the mind,
With hurtful expressions
From their inappropriate design.

So they can wreak havoc
On a person's feelings,
When their interpretation
Is damaging or revealing.

So always sow your words
To be squeaky clean,
A little wishy washy
Until they're prestine.

Cause once words roll off
The ends of your tongue,
They'll always hold a voice
In those ears that they rung.

Because words are like actions
They represent you,
So watch what you say
When you speak or spoken too.

^^Very true and very correct. Words are something
we cannot take back even if we want it. Instead it’s the
regret that we forever keep when unwanted words leave
our lips. A well written poem with good use of words.
