Split Emotions

Sometimes I am so full of self-doubt
I allow myself feel the Worlds pain
I wonder if I am good enough to be here
Or if I deserve to be slain

Like many women I question
All decisions in my life
Am I pretty; am I fat?
Can I be the perfect wife?

I question if I am with someone
For comfort and nothing more
Do I go and break a heart
Shatter a soul, close a door

Or am I with them for love
If so why do I seek out another
Why do I feel the need to find more?
I know I can’t blame my mother

I love him, I swear it
But I’ve fallen again with you
Now I’m confused each day
With my heart split into two…

    I have often asked myself if we can love 'two' at the same time. I feel of course we can, if the other two agree, then even better!

    Wow Nams, a lot of dilemma here. If you love him and he's truly the one then you normally aren't searching out others. I've been in relationships I knew weren't right because at the time that person felt right or came about in a time I needed someone in my life. Was it right? Well no, but there I was. I wish you the best in this, tough decisions to make. Hugs my friend-

    This is great Nams, the dilemma so well expressed. Isn't it funny how we have the capacity to love more than one person at a time, as with our children and family, but we're only 'supposed' to have one romantic love ... the heart doesn't always agree and there's varying shades I think!
