Seasonal Similarities:

by Scott Cole   Jan 20, 2018

There's not much difference
From sprouting trees or flowering buds,
For they both have their roots
Encased in the mud.

Trees are real tall
And considerably strong,
Have a breathtaking viewpoint
And endures long.

Flowers are tall as can be
As stronge as allowable,
Have a stunning point of view
And live long as possible.

So they're much in the same
A whole lot alike,
Yet they're similarly separated
Uniquely lifelike.

Though their dominance switches
Their stronghold remains,
For their origins are everlasting
They both do attain.

The trees linger longer
Year upon year,
But when their structures wither
It never again reappears.

Flowers live but a season
Then they're put to rest,
But resurrected each Spring
For they hang with the best.

Flowers are like dwarfs
Amongst the giant trees,
But they're only overshadowed
During the freeze.
