Weapon Of Choice

I think it's time to take some time out!
Some time just for myself.
I grow weary trying to be what you want,
And becoming someone else.

You see I now question your motives!
And the allegiances you hold,
I'd like to see a different choice!
For you to stand by it and be bold.

That sycophantic alliance!
Is something I do not trust.
It makes me want to curse and spit,
To vent some of my disgust.

Are the words I spit cathartic?
No! They are a merely what I feel.
You need adjust your attitude,
Because you make me want to scream!

You are so blind or blinkered!
Say you're not! and I'll say it's lies!
Just how many things have you missed?
!What a pitiful waste of eyes!

Words rain down like arrows,
And perhaps they're meant to wound.
Absorb or dodge them as you will,
If you feel they are aimed at you!
