White Drama!

Oh my god, would you look at that!
The sky just emptied with snow
We knew that it was coming
Weather folk are clever fellows

And yet you'd think it was the apocalypse
The country's come to a halt
We've depleted stocks of bread and milk
Not to mention all the road salt

And so we're all holed up inside
Under duvets we retreat
Just a few more months until -
We complain about the heat!

    Edit: I think "not mention all the road salt" would flow a little better with 'to' between 'not' and 'mention' which I presume is a little error :)

    hahaha, I absolutely adore this write! It's like that here, too. The temperature drops significantly with a possibility of ice and the whole city shuts down! Which in all honesty I don't mind, because people around here can't drive anyway...so throw in some frost, and woah! No thank you. I'll stay put, lol. Just a few more months and time to complain about the heat, indeed. This write has cheered me up immensely. Thanks for sharing! Well done :)

      Haha, thanks Ren! It just feels like it's about time that we understood how to handle the extremes. In the summer we panic about water shortages, have hosepipe bans etc. .... Britain is a relatively small island for goodness sake ... we're literally surrounded by water! Lol :-) x
