This poem is so sad, but the imagery is really well done.

The first stanza i imagine a person in a hospital with someone they know in one of the beds. This image is sad because we never want to see someone we know "hooked up". But i feel like you know this person for a long time because of the last line here, "ehat happened to your rosy cheeks" tells me they were once full of life.

The second stanza i can see the person in that bed is older. The use of fragile hands here is really good because it does well to describe the person. The last line tells me that this person is someone whom you hold close or held close at one point.

I believe the third stanza tells me that this person is on their death bed and they are slowly slipping away from this life. And the last line reaffirms that this person you hold dear.

The fourth stanza is my favorite because it brings to light who the person is, your best friend has passed away and months later you still remember the day they passed away.

With the last couplet, i think the poem overall talks about your best friend having cancer and you are hoping some day there is a cure. But this is well written and your emotions are forefront here. *hugs to you.
