My apology

I apologize for what
I put you through,
for all the things I said,
and can never take back.
I am sorry for a lot
many things I have done,
and caused you immense pain.
I wish I could turn back time
to set things straight.
Believe me, when I say -
it’s hurting me, more than you,
and I hate myself for becoming
the heartless monster, when
my rage consumed and
took a grip over me.
But, you should know,
I love you, more than
you could ever know;
and I am sorry for all the times,
when I was uncurably crazy, and
inflicted physical and emotional pain.
My heart crumbles over
the dead weight of my own guilt,
and my eyes are weary,
filled with tears of remorse.
I can’t stand the thought of
losing you for my own stupidity!
I would rather die than to
stay alive and be away from you.
So I promise to make it up to you,
by staying sane from now on,
‘coz I love you, more than
you could ever know.
