Okay, so be it. This isn't poetry. It is chopped up prose. |

Isn't poetry subjective? Didn't you, yourself, say that Ben on more than on occasion? Now you seem to be contradicting your previous statement. It would appear that the meaning of subjective changes depending on whether you deem something to be a personal slight to you. |

If Mark did not nominate this, I would have. I freaking love this Maryanne. |

I think this could be classified as free verse, or even spoken word, which are both technically poetry. If not, it still utilised a ton of poetic devices for it to be called poetry. The imagery. Emotion. The distinct voice... I very much enjoyed reading this! |

Absolutely, Hellon, poetry is subjective and in my opinion, this is not poetry. As she clearly states on the boards, we can all have our opinions - why is mine less valid simply because it's on a popular members poem and not a slight on the boards? |

Once again I apologize for intruding into you poem MA... |

I have a reply button this time - not before for some reason. Message me if you want to talk, Hellon; I don't want to continue this on this feed. All I would say is that I am being so blunt because MA literally 'asked for it'. Poetry is subjective - I say again - but to me, this is not poetry. The fact that it's subjevtive doesn't mean you can't have an opinion about what makes a poem. I don't know that it is definitely NOT a poem, but I don't feel - in my opinion - that it qualifies. That is all. |

Just for the record MA...I do not see any reason to continue this conversation with Ben..once again, I'm sorry for the intrusion. |
