Black in Austin.

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 21, 2018

They don’t call it terrorism
unless it involves a Muslim.
They don’t call it a hate crime
if two victims were not
people of color.

Watch the news
as they name the bomber,
never casting stones at him,
making his name famous
like white male violence
is something to be proud of,
and not deadly fuel.

Black lives don’t matter
when everyone washes
out their existence.

Terrorism is brewed
right here in good ole
white America.
