Butterfly Wings

by Biancas Veil   Apr 3, 2018

To hear a butterfly sing,
You need only be silent,
Look within yourself and live in the quiet,

Picture a colour,
That little flutter,
Emotions that run as smooth as butter.

Listen to the movement,
The sweet brush of silken wings,
Another layer calmness it brings.

Feel the vibration,
Give in to the sensation,
Let the rhythm flow over your soul.

Bring it together,
The colour, the sound, the sensation,
A song as beautiful as any creation.

Wings spread wide with nothing to hide,
Their delicate voice as fragile as their wings, and this, is how a butterfly sings.

The alliteration, rhyme and imagery run rich in this poem. You have talent, that's for sure.

    Take care.

I love the picture you paint of a butterfly's voice. You seem to be implying that the voice of the butterfly is in their wings. Very pretty.
