Waiting for You (Rondeau)

Waiting for you I grew so old
The light grew dim, my bones got cold
Now it’s too late to make amends
Not sure we can even be friends
Didn’t you want to have and hold?

How did our love so uncontrolled
Become the thing you would withhold?
My heart could then no longer mend
....... Waiting for you

I just wanted a band of gold
You owned my heart, and I was sold
Your time, for me, you will not spend
I know that this must be the end
Is this the way our love unfolds?
....... Waiting for you
