Equivocation

by CJ Maleney   Apr 10, 2018

Hide it within smoke and mirrors,
Slink into the black and fear.
Fail to defend yourself adequately
And all that you hold dear.

Forget decency, honesty and truth,
Ignore all that you can and would.
As an antagonist and instigator
It is not something that you should.

Spill your words and disguise them!
Skip past other words and avoid,
For every thing that you have done.

Translates as

Schadenfreude

Yes words have a way to disguise and bring out the bad and the good
and at the same time hide the depth of the meaning with just limited words
and thoughts. People can forget honesty here and let their pen loose too.
Knowing you there is so much more is inside this write which makes me want
    to dig deeper...

    Schadenfreude
^^ I was lost here breaking my head until I read Brenda's comment
    that it might be German...interesting...

    Hey up Bren

Yeah bang on the nail it is German. Not sure how I first came across it as I don't speak any German(well I can order a beer lol). But it's one of my faves

Ooh Craig, interesting....as always I know you have so much more in this than you are saying right out. I like this word "Schadenfreude"-German maybe? It reminds me of throwing shade at another. Is this someone that perhaps is in your life? Complications as always Craig-be well-

I realise the site insists on everything being translated into English but there is no English substitute for "Schadenfreude".

However it basically means to take pleasure or delight in the misfortune of an other.

It's one of my favorite words incidentally.
