I once was a feather
that clung to the leaf
that finally spiraled
to the ground as
Autumn approached...

Now I am that feather
that awaits...

awaits...awaits...

    Dear Hellon,

What is life but a pointless adventure filled with coincidental meetings, short moments of coexistence that end when we get discarded in expectation of the new season?

I feel you, but yet, when we step back a bit, we might get to see the bigger picture and realise that nothing is what it appears to be. It is my belief that we are souls living in a temporary vessel called "body" and we are, as such, without age or expiration date :0)

    Well done, take care,

    Ingrid

a waiting feather - I like the metaphor and imagery. The tree is life, youthful, Autumn being a time of life, middle age where life, typically, slows down. What's a person to do but wait for Winter chill, or for a gust of warm wind to waft you up and away for a new adventure.
