A Late Summer Ode

by Cam M   Apr 18, 2018

in the soft summer warmth
amidst the late auburn rays
gleamed the Rosebank Arc hues
redolent with such lambent, ochre hues

nestled in the undergrowth
an Irish Clover Box bloomed
red hazelwood myrrh, perfuming the aire
scented motes briefly luminescing, vaporising, aflare

under a lapis-lazuli cum magenta strewn sky
dew dappled Drowlies gently irised closed
the beauty of the day realised, in one last peek
dear children of mine, rest well, this week

whoops - the third line should read:
    "gleamed the Rosebank Arc flues"
