Drug

by Kate   Apr 25, 2018

I dream of you in silver and gold, crystals glittering in the recesses of your eyes;
Your skin against the stark white sheets and waves crashing against your lips;
The crescent of my fingernails buried in your skin and your soft breath.

I close my eyes and drink in your aura; its savory flavor coating my gentle tongue.
You slip into my bloodstream and imprint your name on the layers of my lungs.
My heart beats in perfect rhythm, your chest rising and falling, rising and falling.
You slip into me as I slide into a state of bliss and you bewitch my body;
Pupils dilating, goosebumps rising, spine arching, toes curling in happiness.

You're my psychedelic drug.

    I find it strange that this piece of Poetry has been apparently missed by everyone, but it is marvelous and if I'm getting it right, beautifully sensual. I wish I had read this earlier to have been able to nominate it. I'm so sorry, but keep writing, this is beautiful
