This is fab! I love how you've taken such opposing forces (yes, I know that's the point of the diamante - but still...) of divine creation and evolution, and explored that in so few words and within this tricky style.

I also love the title, and if it's intended how I've read it - then it's also very clever ...

'splitting the apple' .... the forbidden fruit from the garden of Eden - the apple - being used instead of the word 'atom' to represent the splitting of the atom ... the epitome of scientific advancement. People will usually fall into one of these two camps ... with a few fence-sitters ... and it's therefore the perfect title for both a diamante poem, and specifically, a poem of these opposing beliefs.
