This is brilliant and nobody said life would be easy but we've gotta take the rough with the smooth and do our best with the hand we've been given

I appreciate the rhyming in this and the way the two sides of life are made clear throughout. Excellent poem.

It's the state of being before you're dead.
It's the mire in which you wallow.
It's a sh*t sandwich, and if you've got more bread
the less sh*t you'll have to swallow.

this verse does not flow nearly as well as the rest. It seems you've sacrificed the meter for the inclusion of 'and if you've got more bread'. I like the metaphor, for life, but if you could convey it, without sacrificing the meter, it would make an excellent write.
