Will we turn to Him? (Cinquain Swirl)

by Meena Krish   May 9, 2018

The good
Lord does not grant
us all that we ask for
instead leaves some ache for us to
follow,
it might be a
bare nest or an unfair
life which roams the street with muted
choice, if
not a path of
hardship to test one’s faith
to see if we will turn to Him
for guide!

    Meena,
The title made me question who will we be turning to and why then I instantly thought of God and what he's meant to do for his people and why people would turn to him.
The content states that not everyone gets what they ask for ie people in poverty, people who are/have been abused etc etc and no matter how hard you wish things never seem to go your way as God is testing how far your faith is going and like Ben said not everything in life comes easy and as my mum always says 'no one ever said life was going to be easy' and she's right because you've got to work for the things you want/need otherwise well, you live off the government handouts or atleast you so hear in the UK (sorry trying to be funny.)
This poem to me is (not sure how to put it) I guess strange in a way (a good way) as only recently have I turned to God and only recently has he seemed to answer my prayers so to speak and it's weird because before I'd question whether or not he was real and expect some kind of black magic too happen to prove it lol.

    Take care

An excellent piece that is filled with truth. If the Lord granted us all of our wishes then there would be nothing to test us. Although different individuals seem to suffer more than their fair share nothing worth having comes free of hard work. Well written piece. Milly x

Yes, not everything in life comes easily; in fact, the things really worth having require a good deal of hard work and - for many - an equal amount of faith and guidance.

    Well written, Meena
