A Dance of Passion

by Kereen   May 14, 2018

He traced the veins
that patterned my hand
Down to my finger tips
Fingers slowly intertwined
He steps forward
And whispers in my ears
The simple words "your mine tonight"
It sent me into a daze
The simple yet powerful words
lingering on my imagination's taste buds
Never have I felt such adrenaline
Nor my heart in such haste

"Care to dance" he says
Removing a strand of my escaped hair
One finger on my lip
Pulling apart the red symphonies
As his eyes caress
The heated tenderness of my body
He holds my waist
Pulls me in place
Glides me across the dancefloor
Like graceful swans
Swimming in the lake

He'd let my hair loose
from the flowered grip
Spun me around
and watch it sway from my hips
My breasts cornered
by his revealing chest
The music fades
But our heart beats play
The orchestra drums on
Our eyes like a burning fire
Fueled by unspoken desire

And as the harmony floats away
So does our lasting song
And in the midst
We are lost to the drug
The drug of seduction
His warm breath on my neck
as the song draws to a close
Lifting me high dipping me low
He commanded my body
And it did as he bid
At first my legs hug his waist
Then my feet are gliding all over the place
We made love in the music
Simple, pure, like a rose
I am not his and he is not mine
But dancing to the music
In that moment
We were both willing fugitives
Of illicit time

I agree with Ben this is a beautiful and sensual piece that captures the magic escapism of dance. Very well written. Milly x

What a beautifully written and sensual piece this is, Kereen. I think I shall have to dance with my wife a little more often if these are the results!

Take care and all the best,

    Ben
