your whisper

by Mortal Utopia   May 16, 2018

your whisper (when it made the sky quiver)
was like a lonely dancer
who glided by, too soft and shy
to be heard
amongst the echoes of the wind.

you told me all you ever gave the world
was Silence,
and the shroud of its haunted vulnerability.

you know, I once had a dream,

a dream where your whisper
wove through the world in its strange eternity,
dancing and dancing
through the echoes of the wind

in its graceful fragility.
